I'm planning on going to England at the very end of this month, and I'm buying the airline tickets online. Method of payment = Credit Card. Ticket Price = $759.40. My Credit Card limit = $500.00. This seems like a problem with an easy solution, but, honestly, I'm stumped, folk(s). Any suggestions on how to overcome such an obstacle?

Call your credit card company and ask them for an increased credit line. If you've been with them for at least 6 mo's I would say, they might grant it to you. PS - Capital One will not grant a customer that has been with them for less than 3 years a credit increase - no matter how hard you try.

You could call your card company and explain the situation. If your credit history is good they may be willing to give you a higher credit line. If not, you will be charged an overlimit fee so you can plan on at least $30 extra. That is providing your card company does not do an immediate overlimit thing and deny the charges. Then you are up a creek.

Do u have a checking account? Money in there? If so, then use your debit card. If not, write two checks to yourself, post date them to sometimes when u come back or get money, and deposit them. Then use ur dcard for the purchase
