I know he created us but why? And why so many? Are our individual lives like a tv show and he flips through the channels? Does he favor some of us more than others? Why do some people have such wonderful lives and others suffer dramatically? Why did he give me cancer and not my cousins? What is the purpose. THE PHILOSIPHY I HAVE COME UP WITH IS THAT OUR LIVES ARE INDIVIDUAL SITCOMS AND HE LOOKS AT THEM FOR ENTERTAINMENT!! I believe in God just wonder what the purpose of my life is.

So does anyone agree with my philosiphy??? Or is everyone anti-God!! I know he's real. I felt him once @ St. Joseph's Catholic Church. However I just wonder why we are here. Yes maybe I am selfish to only worry about my existence. But that's the only thing I have is my existence.

I've given a lot of thought to that too.

Perhaps we each play out the different scenarios that he imagines to life in his mind. So many possibilities, and we are each but a thought to be reabsorbed later into God again.

I think we are entertainment, companionship of an odd sort, and a way for God to experience his universe from a different perspective .. the inside out instead of the outside in.

If I were God and looked at mankind as a movie I would hit "eject" and throw it in the garbage. I think it was David who said "who is man that God is mindful of him?" If I was God I would be disgusted with what I had created and that's why only God can be God.

If this were true then "god" must like to watch voilence, war, people have freaky sex, porn, kiddy porn, child abuse, people starving from famine, death and suffering due to disease, natural disasters destroying lives and homes, the holocaust, genocides past and present, slavery past and present, child neglect, watching the homeless try to survive and eat day to day, wife beaters, drug users, car wrecks, birth defects. I am sure that I left out a lot! Sounds like if this is true "god" is a sadistic b*st*rd. Not worth a second thought much less worship

People are selfish and self-centered. Thus religion and the concept of god is born.

The thought than an almighty force is interested in your day-to-day life is just something to be expected from a believer.

I imagine that if I believed in God it would seem to me that everything in general would be like a movie you've seen so many times that you know all the lines.

I have given this much thought really. I believe that after Lucifer rebelled, and was cast down to Hell, God realized he would like it if there were some beings that would worship him out of their own will, in spite of being faced with an alternative (Satan).

Actually we're like the Sims. He builds up civilizations, watches them grow, gets all the expansion packs to make us smarter, sillier, and more fanatic about him, then when he gets bored he sends down natural disasters and plagues and epidemics to kill us off.
