when i log into my windows xp pro sp2 account then switch users then log into another account it freezes?

Hi all i have 6 accounts on my pc i can log into any account with no problem
but when i switch user accounts then log into another the icon next to the name goes down a couple cm then freezes just before it says loading your personal setting i also heir a beep sound it like the sound when you change your volume i have all the latest windows updates anyone know how to fix it and thanks for the help

first i would check for viruses and stuff like that, then if none show up, i would think you would have to reformat the pc and reinstall winxp
