I have a 8 month old puppy that is CKC regeitered but I was wondering if there was a way to get him AKC regeitered?

If you are talking about the Continental Kennel Club, then no, and your dog's registration isn't worth the paper its printed on. I could register my cat with Continental.

If you are talking about the Canadian Kennel Club, then yes its possible. However I've never actually done it, so you'll want to contact the AKC about it for their requirements.

I know my bel mals mom had her registration changed over to AKC when she was imported from the Netherlands, so I know it is possible. But only if the dog meets certain requirements, being registered with Continental there's no way.

I believe it is up to the breeder to become AKC, I am not sure there is aything you can do at this point. You could search online.
