Here's how I look at it: according to the laws of conservations of energy AND matter, nothing is ever created or destroyed. It only changes form.
Matter is energy in another form; it is energy slowed down to a vibration level low enough to become mass. Notice how light is a wave *and* a particle? It is energy *and* matter. A good illustration.
'Spirit' is also energy, just at a frequency that makes it hard for us to perceive from our solid states, like a dog whistle. It is all the same thing.
So physical substance came from pure energy, which perhaps before that was another universe with material substance, which before that was energy. I believe that the universe is Eternal: there really wasn't ever a beginning, there will never be an end, just cycles over and over. The lack of beginning is hard to grasp, but that's where we are in our thinking. I truly believe there really wasn't ever such a thing. And that matter and spirit are simply different forms of the same stuff.

The big bang is one theory. Maybe it was a big spew. Maybe the spew is on the other side of a black hole. Why not. Not many things are as strange as a black hole. I saw a science program which stated that there are stars that are older than the universe itself. I don't know if the thinking on that has changed or not. Where it all started or came from right now no one knows.
As far a spirit goes. Spirit is energy. Energy was definitly there at the big bang or whatever you want to call it.

Good question. However, it sure seems like you are trying to justify your preacher's decision that God created the Universe. You might be interested to know that belief only started with the 1611 English Translation of the Bible, before that "Heavens" meant where birds fly. And, God was called the first great tribal leader. And, ihe did something to the atmosphere that made it possible to better see the sun and the moon and the stars; not that he created them.

But, I am quite sure no one really wants to here about the original scrolls and the campfire chats that made up the creation story.

careful the position you tread right here mate, the glass lays thickly in those aspects. enable's placed it this kind, if there has been actual data, then it should be genuine. What actual data is there of God? there's a totally perception that because someone "got here decrease back from the lifeless" yet were hooked as a lot as a great number of diverse kit that become set there to save them alive, and to carry them decrease back, it become God. So enable's bypass into historic previous shall we, we've the perception that issues got here from unmarried-celled organims, are there nevertheless those floating round? certain. Do they multiply? certain. So wait there is data of it already. look on the deformities there are on certain people, they were no longer angels and demons, merely freakishly shaped people, certain we understand there have been giants, yet what data do you may want to assert that they were something different then someone with a deformity? Do you've the wings of an angel or the tail of a demon to reveal us? we do not base on assumption, we base on the logical and genuine, what has been shown. this is been shown time and time back that those "Christians" and their "God" are all proper mutually to unusual anomalies of the earth, that could all be defined. The reaons that a church become neglected in a erupting volcanone, in case you appeared on the fashion of it, there turned right into a large very virtually mountainous stone that coated the decrease back of it and the lava flowed previous. Your gates in a cellular shattering and breaking, if I submit to in ideas properly it become outfitted on a fault line if that tale become real. examine your aspects and look the position you stand earlier you're making assumptions that you're accurate. provide some data and probably, merely possibly (quite doubt it) we will believe you.

You ask where matter came from, then you theorize that God created it. Then people say, "who created God." Is it so hard to face that we just don't know. There are things that we don't know. That's the way it is. If we knew God was God would this chat room even be necessary. The fact that there are so many Gods should be proof enough to anyone that there isn't one. It's very hard to face that we're alone here. But it's a pretty nice place to be.

A wise man once told me.......our universe began by God simply speaking, yet who's to say that it isn't the "big bang".....after all the Bible mentions when God speaks to people that there is a LOUD, THUNDEROUS sound that is heard. So call it what you will, but ultimately our universe is here because God spoke it into existence.

You are correct when you state that science has no facts about the origin of the universe. Since science has no facts, did not observe, could not repeat, nor falsify, why is the speculation of scientists called science? It is mere speculation.
Obviously, there is no explanation that we can understand. That is the most intelligent, rational answer that can be given.

It didn't, the universe was similar to a black hole before the big bang. Just because Big Bang speaks to the present universe's birth doesn't mean that there wasn't a universe like our own "sucked" into a black hole before the big bang.

What was your mind like before you had a thought? Would you call that nothing? Yet, something comes from it. Two thoughts come together and form a concept, which has greater energy than the individual thoughts by themselves. Play with that for a while. Then consider photons.
