What is the heart of the Lord on this matter? How did he speak to those who did not believe in Him? Take the woman at the well, for example, did he scoff at her, spit at her, did he rage and say hateful things? No. With love, and gentleness, and mercy, and kindness, He displayed His love for her.
Shouldn't we be more like that?

EXACTLY. And if we are to enter into discipleship with Jesus Christ, we need to start acting more like Him. More LOVE, less division. Okay?

God doesn't exist. God is a convenient excuse for people to look down their noses at other people. Even the whole "hate the sin, love the sinner" thing is condescending. I'll buy into that when a crime is executed, not the criminal. Please. Christians hate atheists, and they believe that their god hates atheists too, otherwise why would atheists be going to Hell in their minds? It takes a special kind of person to be OK with believing that other human beings are going to suffer eternal torment because they refuse to worship your god. A really special person.

Yes, God so loved the world, that includes atheists.
God doesnt speak to those who reject him.
The woman at the well was a believer, not an atheist. Jesus however displayed little patience for the prideful people in his day. (which today would be atheists)
But Ive never seen any believer act in the manner you describe; scoffing, spitting, raging, and saying hateful things. Perhaps you have met some really poor examples of Christians in your life. They are out there for sure but so are the real ones!

He loved the woman caught in adultery. He loved the tax collector. He loved the friends who ran away when He was in trouble. He loved the soldiers who nailed Him to a cross. He loved the man who took part in the stoning of Stephen, and who then went down the road looking for more fledgling Christians to persecute. His love and His capacity for mercy is infinite. So yes, He loves atheists. Some of His most devoted servants started out as atheists. None of us were born saved and none of us earned it by being better than everyone else. The same gift He has given me, He offers to them as well.

I'm not a Christian but I'm not a jerk either. I'm pretty sure God loves everybody equal according to the Bible but it looks like you already know that. I'd like to make a personal apology on behalf of my fellow atheists on this site. It's sad you have to specify that you only want Christians, don't let this be a representation of all atheists, most are actually thoughtful people, a lot here just seem to be upstart kids that like to piss off people that can't fight back with more than angry text.

Hi.
We all would be better off if we acted more like Jesus...
As far as God's view?? Look this up in your Bible....:
(2 Peter 3:9) . . .Jehovah is not slow respecting his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with YOU because he does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance.
So Jehovah God is patient, but He will not wait forever to clean up the mess on this planet.
(Zephaniah 1:14-18) 14Â “The great day of Jehovah is near. It is near, and there is a hurrying [of it] very much. The sound of the day of Jehovah is bitter. There a mighty man is letting out a cry. 15Â That day is a day of fury, a day of distress and of anguish, a day of storm and of desolation, a day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick gloom, 16Â a day of horn and of alarm signal, against the fortified cities and against the high corner towers. 17Â And I will cause distress to mankind, and they will certainly walk like blind men; because it is against Jehovah that they have sinned. And their blood will actually be poured out like dust, and their bowels like the dung. 18Â Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to deliver them in the day of Jehovah’s fury; but by the fire of his zeal the whole earth will be devoured, because he will make an extermination, indeed a terrible one, of all the inhabitants of the earth.”
When Jehovah's day happens, those that choose to do their own thing.... those that choose to not believe in God... those that choose to worship Him in thier own way instead of His way, will be gone.
Thing is, it will be God's choice when to act. He will judge... So again, you are correct, we as Christians should follow the example of Jesus and try to help others learn about Jehovah God's Kingdom and the futute it will bring, while leaving the judging up to Him.

Of course God loves Athiests ! I love atheists, don't agree with them on their views but I still love them. I don't get angry at Atheists, its not their fault what they believe. It is the enemys fault for blinding their mind and eyes to the truth.

All are lost until the truth is revealed. God's love changes things...we are ambassadors of Christ and should remind ourselves of that.
