I would put cheerios (cereal) in the toilet and let my boy stand on a child stool. He was very happy going potty.

My son went about two or three months sitting down and then we got him to try standing up and he's done it ever since. It all depends on the child. You'll know when he's ready. It helps and is kind of weird but if it's warm enough let them go outside and practice "watering trees". Like I said weird but it works and is much less messy outside than it can get inside.

I have 6 boys. They perfer to stand from the start except my 2 year old.He will sit and stand.I bought him a lil kiddies stool. When he wants to sit he will tell me but when he wants to stand he will say stand up stool.I really dont care either way.And if he does get a few drops of urine on the floor I never point it out to him.I have a mop and bleach for a reason.

ok, girl I have 5 boys!! lol Yes 5. Each were different and weirder. My 14 yr old just started peeing standing up. no sitting. (saw older brother doing it) now the youngest one would only stand up if he was outside or in the bath tub. I think personally you transition them when THEY are comfortable. Just ask them, you wanna stand up and play hit the water...I made it like a game that way there is no pee on the wall....lol Good luck hon

It is easier to have them trained sitting down from the start. That way he doesn't get distracted from the spraying of the urine or the bubbles. Once he is trained then you can teach him to stand to pee. Good luck.

Once they can reach to pee in the big toilet. Between 3 and 4. Shoot for 4 so they can see well enough to aim. Hope you the best!!
