i get them all the time.
there's a lot of different ways to cope.
one, is just get away from the place where youre panicking.
two, take deep breaths and count to ten as you inhale and ten as you exhale.
third, a way to try to avoid panic attacks is to sit next to a door or close to an exit.
just breathe when it occurs.
also, a doctor can give you medicine for it and it works really well

I used to get them a lot. I know they can be scary and make you feel out of control. The best thing to do is try to relax and breathe slowly, too much oxygen too quickly can cause your heart to race, making it feel like you can't breathe, that's why some people breathe into a paper bag to slow their heart rate with the carbon dioxide. it would also help to find out what causes the panic attacks and try to avoid these triggers. Also medication can really help. You can take it when you feel a panic attack coming on, and it works fast to prevent it from becoming full blown. It also just helps carrying the medication around, just knowing it's there can make you feel a whole lot better.
I hope this helped! Good luck!

I have had panic attacks, anxiety and genaralized anxiety disorder for almost 10 years now. Prayer, meditaiton and yoga has worked miracles for me. Also, knowing and accepting the fact that I was not actually dying helped me. Tell her to just let it happen and work its course, try to stay as calm as possible and just know in her mind that it is just a panic attack and it will go away in a few minutes. The main thing is accepting it.

Panic attacks have more to do with thinking than with physical symptoms- you fear having the anxiety, therefore causing panic. Try cognitive behavioral therapy and a good medication like paxil.

my advice is to try and figure out what trigers the attacks before they happen right before she has one observe what shes doing or whats goin on around her and then try to solve what it is that might be triggering these panic attacks...i used to have them for years and i finally figured out it was somethin as simple as thunderstorms or even a dark cloud and ever since i found out i kno what to do to prevent it and i haven't had one in about 2 yrs so try it it helps alot good luck
