I would have thought that as a Muslim you would know what the word context was all about in regards to quoting holy texts but I guess not. Here's a few for you from the koran;
A woman is worth one-half a man. 2:282
Males are to inherit twice that of females 4:11
Men are in charge of women, because Allah made men to be better than women 4:34
Women have rights that are similar to men, but men are "a degree above them." 2:228

And don't even get me started on the fact that you're not even allowed to go pray in a mosque any time you choose or worship there with your whole family.

This is why at our Church, the Anglican Priest is a WOMAN, and she preaches uncovered for everybody to see. There is no scandal from where I come from on this issue, and I am sure it does not exist to any extent anywhere in the FREE WORLD.
Your Deuteronomy verse refers to a woman who grabs another man's privates in a fight. This doesn't actually happen very often. HOWEVER it is a simple rule for Jews to follow in the Law of Moses. I will not speak to an OT for the simple fact that it is helpful, but not mandatory.
And I will tell you that you have never had a wife if you expect to rule over her, and sell your daughters. You must be as backwards as Moses or Mohammed.

(a) In that time men sat on one side of the church and women on the other. At times if a woman did not understand something she would try to ask her husband to clarify thus being disruptive among other things.
(b) don't know that right off hand - sorry

(c) A husband is over his wife. She is to do what he desires as long as it is within the will of God. I personally have had a hard time accepting that but I do the best I can. The husband has authority over the household but keep in mind that a husband is also supposed to "love his wife as God loved the church"

If you get a Dake's Bible ( it only comes in KJV ) it will answer just about every ? you could have. It is, in my opinion of course, the best and most reliable study bible made. Dake, the author studied and researched for over 40 years to put this bible together. It's amazing what you'll learn.

those verses are true enough but let us all examine the times when they were written although yes a man is the head of the household and woman was created for man not vice versa the apostle also instructs men to treat there wives as Christ treats the church that is a high responibility and should be pleasing to woman if done out of a pure heart, I do not hold to the woman can not spak in church 2000 years ago is different from today and that was never a direct command from God it was how Paul advised his churches at the time it was a different culture and way of life.

The second two verses are from the old Jewish law. Jesus put an end to that but I suppose Paul didn’t get the whole message. The story about Mary and Martha makes it clear where Jesus stood.

Paul is viewed as a bit sexist. Since he would have been raised on the old law, I suppose it’s not too surprising that it shows in his letters.

Perhaps this was one of those times when he didn’t receive specific instructions so he gave his own opinion. He does admit to doing that.

Answer me this, why adam did nothing tot stop Eve from eating the friut, he was standing right next to her...Gen 3:6...and gave also to her husband with her and he did eat...KJV...Also why did Noah disobey God??? gen 8:16 go forth of the ark, thou and thy wife and thy son and thy son's wives with thee. gen 8:18 and noah went forth, and his son's and his wife and his son's wives with him. Noah disobeyed the order God told him to follow. It was suppose to be Noah and his wife and then his son's and then their wives and Noah let himself go forst and then his son's and then his wife and then his son's wives.
By the way a women was forbidden to preach in church because she was not allowed to go to church before Paul allowed her to or go to school and Paul also allowed that to. She could not teach what she did not know about yet. Then after Paul died, the Catholic church put women back in the home again.
A. Paul is refering to disorderly speaking or the use of their spiritual gifts IE prophecy and tonues. B. She grabbed the guy by his private parts, so her hands shall be cut off. It plainly states that. C. Man is to rule over a women, but thsi does not mean that she has to do exactly has he tells her to do in a controling manner, for since they are one, they are equals. If the daughter is sold for slavery, it is my understanding that she also marrys the man.

That was the culture of the times, and in the OT, they were God's commandments. Not sure where the "loveable fuzzball" idea about God came from.

: (

Never heard 'b' before...that is sad. So a guy is better off dead then have a GIRL save him...and to think our society still applies some of this mindset. How sad.

Perfect example of why I do not follow religious fanatics. It always gets blown way out of proportion. Just love God and do your best to be kind to others.
