im in love with a man i can not have. he is engadged so i know i will never have him. what can i do to make myself stop loving him?

accept the cold hard reality, give yourself a huge good scream/cry to get everything outta your system and realised that he's really not the one for you because you deserve so much better, a real man who geniunely loves/cares for you the way you are and what better way to find him is to move on and start meeting new building, extend your social circles, be with your friends and start enjoying life, loving yourself and being with really good company to help you get back on your feet, redeem your self-esteem and feel like a million bucks.
Once you're out finally out there in the open, single and available and having the time of your life, you'll eventually meet better and right options for you. The best things in life come naturally, they're often least unexpected when you're not looking or waiting for it and relationships/people are one of them. Work it gurl ;)

Time will heal the wound. The day may come that you are happy he ended up with the other person and not you. You will probably fall in love with some one who loves you. There is nothing like being loved. Now go and pay attention to some one else. Accept dates, but be cautious and make sure you are not dating some one to get even with this other person. You will know the right person when they come along. Be ready to "Be loved and learn to love the one that loves you".

well my first ex husband knows he will never have me and he still Love's me i have tried to block him from my e-mail's but he knows how to get around the block so i just gave up and don't answer them i guess you will always love him from a far i don't know if there is any way you can make your self fall out of love with this person what i would do is try to find some one and try to fall in love with some one else

To be frank , this is like trying to remove stubborn stains on the toilet bowl! You have to do lots of work, try different methods-and is the same thing with healing a broken heart.
Knowing he is engaged to someone1 else and NOT YOU, gives a feeling of defeat...,or worse, give you complexities if you're trying to compare yourself with his fiancée..
It really takes a lot of effort, good friends around you and a lot of trips to the mall-maybe eating whole tubs of ice cream, trying to get out of your robe for wearing it the whole day...
Some practical advice that helped me in such a situation years back;
- you can just repeat his worse faults in your head to put you off him, I don't know if u got the chance to be close to him as in a relationship to know him that well?
In any case, tell yourself that YOU have the POWER TO LOVE AGAIN AND AGAIN...even if you have to convince yourself the silliest things..
-Find all the positive reasons in the world how you are better off that him getting into marriage..
-Pamper yourself with a self-improvement regime to boost your confidence and make yourself look pretty and fierce
-After your make-over, try to run into him-the better if his fiancée is also present to show him what he is missing, and to make his fiancée feel threatened by the ex (I'm not saying that to get him back, but as self defence!)
Please stay FIERCE , I mean FIERCE and don't let them get to you. The look on their faces might tell you everything to make you go by...
Last but not leat, try to hang out with HOT guys, though you might not be emotionaly ready for another relationship..Surrounding myself with hot love interests kept my mind away from my ex if not always, but for the whole while..
Go on girl trips and have the time of your life with hot foreign guys wit accents!
The RULE is -never let loneliness keep you company..it's the least thing you need to move on.
TIP: Look for MR right NOW , if any of them eventually appears to be your perfect match, the *NOW* should fall off -and there you will get MR RIGHT!

Honey get out more do things that envolve other men . go clubbing golfing anything where you will meet available men . your attracted to the fact that you cant have him . That may be part of the attraction. Your beautiful there are hundreds of men out there waiting for the opportunity. dont keep them waiting.

you shouldnt of fallen in love with him in the first place...plenty of other guys...Honestly you can still love him and care about him, but in a different way...He has someone else in his life..now is the time for you to find someone
