For eighth grade, that is fine. Be sure to take it again in two or three years and brush up on any areas of weakness. Some schools don't even accept SAT scores, perfering the ACT. Check into what schools you would want to attend to know what they want, since my okay school may be different from yours. As an eighth grade teacher, I beg that you don't sweat the the test just yet; it is great that you want to do well, and you have years to go before worrying about your final scores. I took the SAT four times, a higher grade each time. Deep breaths!

1460 out of 2100 is not a good score, it will get you accepted to tier 3 school

I would say that your score for the SAT 1 is awesom, I took it like 2 1/2 years ago and got a 1010 and I got into UCLA, UC Berkely, UC Santa Cruz, and UC Merced, therefore I believe that if you have a good GPA and that score you should be fine, besides you still need the SAT II and that will elevate you.

well it depends. Is that a three part score? If its a three part score, then its not good. But if its a 2 part score, your def lying.
