Well ,because Adam was the first "human " so it's pronounced Adam in all languages I've known "English ,French ,Arabic,...." and my friends also who's mother tongue is something else agreed on Adam but the transcript differs :
I know it's originally Aramaic/Arabic name and it's written like that in Arabic:آدم
you can copy it and make it bigger in Word .

You will need a book called a "lexicon". You can look up words in an online lexicon of Greek Hebrew and Aramaic. It will also tell you where in the Bible it can be found. Hope this helps.

Adam is not English it is Hebrew. It has just been transliterated. It means humankind. I would give you the Hebrew lettering but I don't have that font.
