I believe that the teachings may be applied and interpreted to separate its believers from the rest of the world. Just think about a religion for a chosen people, a religion that is based on a promise made by a god to his people. Any religion not just Judaism, is dangerous when prevents its members to see others as equals. A good religion should always teach to see all humans as equals and not call then goyim.

I'm a Christian, but I don't believe Judaism is wrong. I don't believe it is the whole story, but then none of us know the whole story.

I've seen an awful lot of Jew-bashing going on here and elsewhere on the Internet lately. I don't know if it's new or has been going on like that forever, and I was just not aware of it. It doesn't seem to be aimed at religious ideas, but is basically just pure bigotry.

Still, I bet you won't get the same sort of venomous replies you'd get if you asked "why do you believe Christianity is wrong?"

Judaism is based on God leading the actual lineage of Abraham. Christianity is based on that very same God forming a new covenant with people of every race and save all who will accept Him. God originally formed the covenant with Abraham in order that his offspring would follow him, like Abraham did so faithfully. However over time the lineage itself was seen as the saving factor, and not the relationship with God. God sent prophet after prophet to His people to warn them about the consquences of constantly rejecting his commands. But even the prophets were killed. Jesus came to straighten things out about the Jews role in God's plan. However they hated the Man who pointed out that they added man made rules and rituals and yet abandoned God's law. So they killed Him. After He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven, his disciples continued to preach about his death and resurrection to as many jews would accept the message. Many did. Yet they faced great persecution by many Jews and were jailed. Eventually, Stephen was stoned to death after being accussed of blasphemy. That was final straw. The jews as a nation, as descendants of Abraham ceased being God's people. Jewish people could still accept him, but God no longer led the nation as he once had. The sacrifices eventually ended, and over time the nation was scattered across the world. Now, God's followers are anyone who will accept Him. This appllies to Jews and Gentiles alike. God does not descriminate or hold a grudge. Judaism and Christianity believe in exactly the same God. The God of the Old Testament is the God of New Testament, and is still the God of today, tomorrow and forever. Sorry for not being consistent with capitalizing words and I hope this best answers your question.

No, not at all. I appreciate the tolerant of others, non-evangelizing tone it seems to have. Or at least our Jewish friends have never even once tried to talk to us about converting. Heck, they don't even talk to us about religion, like us, and just enjoy each others company.

i don't. i think its the most beautiful religion on the planet. we are one of the biggest mysteries of all time, and our mere existence has puzzled even the world's greatest thinkers. when blaise pascal, the french mathematician-philosopher, was asked to prove that the supernatural existed, do you know what the proof he used was? the jews.

want to see what other famous thinkers had to say about the the miraculousness of judaism? even friedrich nietzche has something to say. click here:

I believe that Jesus is the Messiah that God promised His people. Jesus is man and divine, performed miracles, rose from the dead and is in Heaven again until He returns. I respect Jews and am studying Hebrew and the Torah on my own. I respect that many Jews are very devote and I like their religious traditions. I wish I knew more Catholics that were that devote to Jesus. Jews are my ancestors. After years of study, prayer and lots of asking questions, I have choosen to have faith in Jesus.
