Not really sure what your question is....but......I believe that most people are scared of the thought of death. Even Christians can be scared of death. It's not that we're afraid of what will happen after we die, it's just the fear of the unknown....we don't know how exactly it will feel to die, and even though we know that life here on earth isn't great and that Heaven will be, it's still the fear of the unknown. Yes, we know what the Bible tells us Heaven will be like. But it's kinda like a relationship. If you've been dating one person for a very long time and you begin to think about someone else, you are comfortable in the relationship you have and the thought of something new, something different is a little scary. So even though we know that Heaven will be wonderful, it is still beyond our comprehension and it is scary.......the thought of leaving behind our love ones also adds to our fears I think. We know that they will be ok, and we will be too......but this life is all we've known.

I was afraid of death till I went through the process of watching my father die. It was very peaceful and it was good to see him released from pain. I don't know if there is an after life but I feel that for many people who put their faith in this, it would be a comfort to believe that you move on to another level spiritually. The dying process is hardest on those left behind. To deal with the physical absence of the person, the regrets of words said or unsaid

Are you asking or telling? Why are we afraid of death. Oh, gee, let's see here, well, it's less exciting than living. It can be painful and uglier than your Uncle Ed's golf pants. It puts a permanent crimp in your social calendar. It is the fear of the unknown. None of us knows what lies beyond, and those who have found out aren't telling. Guess we will have to live good lives and see what happens.

I fear death too. I am a Christian, and I know where I will be going when I die. But somehow that doesn't sooth the thought of losing my friends and family until I meet them again.

I know in the Bible that it says you will reunite with fellow believers in Heaven and that you wil know everyone. But will you know your family as family still? And friends as friends? I'm afraid I will have lost the knowledge of who I loved when I get up there. I think that is the reason that I fear death--it is the unknown.

People fear death for many reasons. I think the most popular one is because it is the unknown. Another popular reason is egoism, that wants to believe that I am special, and there is no way such a special person can be finite.

It's natural to fear death, but it is not something to be feared, but accepted. It is a part of life, just as your graduation, marriage, and birth of your children are. Hindus are told to view death positively, in death you are escaping the suffering of material existence.

I agree to a certain extent. I fear the moment of death, the final breath, the last heartbeat etc. but I do not fear what comes after.

Sure. Many people fear death because no matter what they may believe, it is still the great "Unknown".

I used to be, until I found out the truth about death. (Eccl 9:5,6,10;Acts 24:15;Ps 37:29)

Now, I'm at peace with it.

Root source of fear is same as root source of death.
Law: root source of sin: Romans 4:15; Romans 5:13.
Law: strength of sin's death sting: 1Corinthians 15:56
Law: strong man to bind to spoil house of sin & death.
Law: the ministration of death: 2Corinthians 3:7
Law: the schoolmaster witch failed every student
Law: I will forsake you, the city, and your fathers

Perfect love(God) that's void of fear hath torment,
is also pure grace that's void of law worketh wrath.

No law = no sin imputed = no dead end for anyone.

When the God Shew ends as written, it never happened.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
