If you say the word "cheese", it makes your face form a smile form. It's just what a camera man tells someone to say in order to get the person to make a smile face. If you say "breeze" clearly and fully extend your mouth, the same smile affect will occur in your face. Cheese, pees, knees, keys, fleas, bees....whatever it's all the same.

Actually the saying was " Who cut the cheese " but that didn't fly that well at church functions and bridge clubs so it was changed to, "Say Cheese"..
