If you and your mother have a close relationship i think you should go to her and tell her. Tell her you don't what to have an abortion. Maybe you could have the baby and put it up for adoption (there are so many families that want them that can't have them) - that would be what I would hope one of my daughters would do if it were them. Your parents will love you know matter what you've done. If you are planning college after high school I'd definitely give the baby up. Take care and I'll pray for you.

First thing to do is calm down. No one is going to take this news very well if ur all worked up and everything. There are other options you could always put the child up for adoption if u dont feel that the both of u are responisble enough to handle this. Another thing is stay in school no matter what. I know it's hard to walk down the halls of high school pregnant with everyone staring at u and thinking omg what is she now?? but dont pay attention to them. This could of happened to anyone. At least u used protection that's the good part. Good luck. You'll be fine. But right now i think u need ur mom. She's the one u need to go to.

Calm down! The first thing you need to do is tell your parents.
Then go to the doctor and get a second opinion. If you are against abortions then you should keep the baby but stay in school and graduate. You aren't helping your baby's future by dropping out. It is not the end of the world! This has happened to alot of girls! After you go to the doctor and the test is positive, then tell the father-to-be. Good Luck!!!!

I feel for you - definitely a tough situation.
You need to step back and accept where you are before you're going to be able to tell those closest to you. And, don't rush into anything.... even if you did decide to abort, you've still got time to think before you act.
I would suggest calling one of the "crisis centers" or - if there's one in your area, going to it. And, I am biased, and against abortion myself - so I am advising you to avoid a "family planning center" and asking you to consider one that will advise you more on the non abortion options.
Keep an open mind when you talk to them though - they are going to try to convince you totally to not abort - and you may end up having to make that decision.
Care Net is a good option to have someone to talk. They can help calm you, and help you know how to approach your parents. And, depending on how close you are to your mom, you may want to tell her before you tell your bf or anyone else around you. She is your mom afterall, and moms love us through all things.

I was 15 when I got preg. I thought my mom would kill me... she just cried alot and that hurt more than anything. You need to talk to her now.... She can help you decide what's best. I'm against abortion too but there is always adoption. My son is going to be 8 this month and I can't imagine my life without him. I was preg my jr. year too.... I went into labor at 3 months and spent the rest of the school year on bed rest (my school gave me a laptop and a tutor).... When I had my son and was able to go back to school I went for the last few days of classes...lol... Then, before my senior year my mom and I found a day care provider and my son's dad (hubby of 6 years now)bought me a car to get our son to daycare and get me to school and work. My hubby left for the Army when our son was 6 months old and then he was in Korea for 2 years... I wouldn't have been able to do anything if it wasn't for my mom's support and help. I ended up graduating with straight A's and all kinds of awards. My hubby and I finally got married in 2001 (had son in 99)... still in the Army, been through 2 deployments to Iraq and another this November... also been trying for 5 years to have another baby. I hope you talk to your mom and everything works out for the better for you, whatever you decide... Please, if you don't want to get preg. again either stop having sex(easier said than done)... or get on birth control and use condoms. If you are responsible enough to have sex than please be responsible enough to use proper protection. Good Luck.

You are very smart to ask for help. You have already made a very good, mature and couragious choice. You chose to let your baby live. My daughter just gave up a child for adoption. I am so proud of her. She knew that it wasn't about her anymore. Her main concern was her baby. She made a childless couple extremely happy and the baby is in a good Christian home and wants for nothing, especially love.
It was hard for my daughter and she has bad days, but she knows she did the right thing. Right doesn't necessarily mean easy.
Talk to a trusted adult such as a teacher, clergy member, aunt, uncle or mentor. There are Crisis Pregnancy Centers waiting to help and counsel you.
Being pregnant at 16 is not the worst thing that could happen to you. It is NOT a reason to get married or drop out of school. There is lots of help out there. Keep looking until you find the right one for your baby and you. Also, start taking prenatal vitamins. They are very important in the first trimester.

Well, first you need to decide what you want to do. You do not have to have an abortion. You can decide to keep it. It will be very hard at just 16 years old but I know many females that had babies young and things worked out fine. You can also choose to give it up for adoption. After you decide what you want to do, you should tell your boyfriend. If he doesn't support your decision, forget him. Hopefully he's a good boyfriend and he'll help you tell your mom. Everyone will probably be shocked and maybe upset, but they'll get over it eventually. Just do what you feel is best for YOU.

WOW, my best friend is prgeant. Well all I can say is " Do you want to carry it out" " Or not? Being a mother is alot and your 16. You have alot to go to. Getting a car or your first kiss . Or going to a party with your friends. You have test and homework. You can carry out the baby and give it to another caring, loving parent. Or carry out the baby and you cant do everything you want. These are the question you should be asking yourself.

Well not to sound too cold hearted, it sounds like you've already made your decision. Maybe you should go eduacate yourself on what you think is a baby in there right now before you start on the whole baby killing thing, if you change your mind there is an abortion "pill" that you take over a series of a week .
