i never talked to him before because I am too shy. how do I get him to at least NOTICE me?

Do the hair flip or play with it. Oh another good one is play with some inanimate object, and do it so that he cannot not notice it.

start saying hi to him or smile or something, or pretend that you are struggling with something and ask him to help you without your friends seeing, one time i did that and my friends automatically knew i liked him, and it was a major embaressment
