Yes, but with the amount of taxes and jobs that tobacco produces, it would create a huge hardship on countries around the world, not just this one. They tried to ban cigarettes in India, but they couldn't afford to do without the revenue. The same is true for oil. We've become dependent on the products as commodities that both produce jobs and tax revenue.

That's why the tobacco companies can do PSAs about the hazards of cigarettes, have taxes of $1.50 per pack added to the existing tax, and still stay in business.

I think people should be allowed to do whatever they want with their own bodies. People who smoke cigarettes do so because they enjoy it. It may be harmful to the health of some but that is up to them. I am 62 years old and have smoked since I was 14. Apart from a vasectomy 2 years ago I have not needed to see a doctor in more than 50 years. The secondary smoking argument is a none starter. There are more pollutants in the atmosphere from industrial and vehicular emissions than smokers can ever produce. Live and let live.

This is a difficult question. But in my opinion you need to classify a cigg first. I use to smoke myself. I know how addictive they can be. If they pull every addictive out of society ex. drugs, they why not cigg's? You crave them, you have withdraws, and people beg for them all the time like there crack! How can they legally sell something that can cause death? So yes, they should

They should have stopped selling it back when they discovered that it killed people. Why would they even want to sell stuff that kills people purposely? Gosh if nobody is gonna stop manufacturing that stuff, I'm gonna have to take matters into my own hands and be the president myself just to stop it with the cigars gosh. Why hasn't anything been done about that?!

No because I smoke and if those smoking just quite people can die due to the addiction. That's not all, if people really want to smoke it will just create a black market for it and people will be more broke.

No! It's a personal choice. Do you really want the government telling you what you can and can't do?
