I guess everyone is different, but taking a hot shower is better to help clear up congestion. The steam from the shower loosens any congestion so it can be expelled easier.
I prefer being in cold air when I am congested, but it seems to help my nasal passages open up. As for being in a cold shower to help you recover faster... I have never heard of it. Like I said, though, everyone's different! But if you ask me whether a hot or cold shower will help more... I'd say HOT! Good luck! :)

Well I would take a hot shower. But even if I get sick I have a habit of turning the water cold for the last 15 or 20 seconds of my shower.

I don't know about you, but a cold shower would sent me right to bed sneezing my head off!
I would take a hot, hot shower ( it clears my sinuses) with one of those shower tablets that smell like Vicks to help my cough.
Aleve cold and sinus works really good to help relieve symptoms BTW. Hope you feel better soon. Colds Suck.

What temperature your water is has nothing to do with how quickly you recover from sickness. It has to do with what it is. Either bacterial or viral, and how good your immune system is.Good luck!
