No that is not normal, and if you dont get help with that you may end up endangering yourself as well as those around you. Yes it sounds like anxiety, and no you dont have to get pills for it, I would go to a family physician, get a recomendation to a pshychiatrist or psychologist to get evaluated. Either way in most places you do have to be recomended, where Im at you have to be anyways. You could always call and ask to be evaluated by a shrink and see if they have a problem with that.

I actually do the same thing when driving in the car. When I'm on a highway I have visions of going over the gaurdrail. I always worry about whether I turned off the coffeepot or something like that. I can't say whether this is normal or not, but I know I have mild anxiety. I don't have panic attacks over it, but you may want to get it checked out just in case it does get worse. I take medication for depression and it seems to help with the anxiety too.

WORRY WORT, WORRY WORT, WORRY WORT. Don't feel alone. More people have this problem than you think, including myself. I worry about absolutely the worst thing that could happen in any situation. Worrying can cause major anxiety and actually makes the situation worse and stronger as you think more about it. I sought some help from a counselor for a little while who taught me different ways to control my thoughts of worry and she actually found some that worked for me. You should look into getting control rather than a physician who will just give you xanax at first or some anti-depression medication that's just going to make you a mummy (Or so my husband says).

When I went through the same thing, the doc put me on that funny blue pill once a day for 30 days, came back and said nothing changed. Put me on it twice a day for 30 more days and again, nothing changed. Went back and he put me on it 3 times a day for 90 days and it put me in the ER with heart problems and when I came off them, it was the weirdest trip I've ever had and suggest that no one EVER take a medication unless you are really very ill. Seeking different methods is your absolute best bet.

Take 3 deep breaths and talk out loud to yourself about what you need to have completed by the next week or think about a funny discussion you had that made you laugh out loud and it should put your mind on a different track rather than worry about what could happen. It helps me. Good luck to you.

We all worry about things differently. It sounds to me as though you may be having anxiety or panic attacks. I had them for a few years. So bad that I wouldn't leave my house for 1 full year. It was awful. My head would get dizzy, my heart would start racing really fast and I thought I was going to die. It was awful. I thought something really terrible was wrong me, until I talked to the Dr. about it. He told me that I was having panic and anxiety attacks. He gave me medication for it called Rivotril. I still thought something more was wrong with me until I found a group that met weekly about anxiety and panic disorders. As soon as I went to the meeting and heard all the other people talking about the same symptoms as me, I knew thats all it was. What a releif. I wasn't going crazy after all. Studies show that 1 in 5 people suffer from some sort of panic and anxiety attacks. So don't think you are alone. Your not going crazy, its just that maybe you have alot on your mind or maybe you have alot of things on your mind subconsiously. Make an appointment with your Dr. just to be sure and let him/her know exactly how your feeling and what your visions are. Thats the only way to understand what is going on. But honestly, to me it sounds like panic and anxiety attacks.
Always remember, your not alone in this.
Hope this helped and very good luck to you.

Sounds like you are heading toward wanting to be an OCD person. Get help now - run fast - do not let it take over!! Okay, um, a little worrying is normal and happens even to excess now and then. But if this starts too become too time-consuming or over an hour a day of wasted time - you better get some help.

I feel the same way!!! i also worry about stuff like that... or about having wrecks and things like that. I also worry about my family a lot. Since i live with my grandma and grandpa i usually wake them up during the night just to make sure they are ok and stuff. And i call my mom a lot during the night to make sure she is ok. I know i have anxiety problems but i don't want to take anything for it

I think you probably need to look a little deeper in this. I don't think you have a major anxiety problem but minor but i would go to the doctor and see what he says.

that sounds like obsessive compulsive disorder but dont get wrapped up in labels - obsessing about things such as doors being locked etc - sometimes its just a phase - I went through that before
