The only problem that was found was that I am allergic to dust mites. However, allergy medications are failing to work and I am running out of options. This causes daily problems in my life, and is a source of daily tension with my husband. My sinus problems get worse when I'm worried about it or stressed out about things going on in my life. Could this be a mostly mental thing? What do I do?

First, it's not life threatening. Settle down. My nose ran all day today. times of year and conditions make it worse, most everyone has some form of allergy these days. Try plain saline nasal spray from the pharmacy to prevent the allergens from getting into your breathing ....it will keep the nasal passages clean. then cover your bed and pillow cases in covers that are washable so the mites are able to be washed out, using bleach and hot water, also the sun kills mites. You need to vacuum the bed and wash the pillows too often, this keeps mites down. But, you can build up an immunity to them, use common sense, clean and do what you can.Open in the bedroom if the sun is out and hot then vacuum. Also use AC and clean the filter often. If you have carpet vacuum often and use an allergen carpet cleaner, some sprays also kill dust mites. You can only do so much. The bedroom is important because you spend most of your time in there and it is a closed space, a sanctuary so to speak. so, make it the room that you keep the cleanest from mites. They are natural, just not too have them pile up and never clean if you have allergies. Good luck. Don't express everything to him. Give him a break. Let him unwind and if you are sooooo fearful seek help. Maybe an allergy Dr. for shots or drops. Good luck.

You, me, and 37 million people have this problem in the US. If you haven't had an MRI of your sinuses yet, and have not yet gone to see an ear, nose, throat doctor - that would be a good place to start. Many people have polyps or sinus cavities that are too narrow to drain normally, and if blockage is the problem, there is procedure where the sinus tissues can get reamed out to open everything up.

If you have already been down that path, then a visit to an allergist is another avenue. Allergy shots might succeed where drugs have failed. Some people do very well with the steroid-based nose spays (flonase, nasacort) as another alternative.

Another thing that might help is to take a a 12 or 24-hour antihistamine, 12-hour sudafed twice a day, and Mucinex twice a day. This combination might at least allow the sinuses to drain.

Do because the Dr steered and take the decongestant. also, get severe about getting to the source of the project. a classic, healthful man or woman does no longer have a recurring an infection for no reason. it will be you are able to get to an allergist or immunologist. also, start up nasal/sinus irrigation with a saline answer. some human beings flow for neti pots, yet i like gadgets that furnish water in pulses because it may wash away more suitable. i will grant you with a link to envision it out. contained in the advise time, see an allergist or immunologist for some epidermis or blood checks to make certain once you've hypersensitive reaction and if so, what's causing the project.

This is a very important and useful report especially for yourself and your precious family. I used to have serious allergic symptoms but after I switched those household toxic products to safe, non-toxic products all the symptoms, both respiratory and skin, were gone away. Taking a reference to the report below, if you switch your toxic products to products that do not have those toxic chemical ingredients it will help you and your family's health immensely! It is an easy project to go through the house and collecting all those unsafe products. You and your family can do this together. Even just switching out a laundry detergent can affect your health considerably. (Actually, I have heard of a few people who have survived from cancer by removing these types of products from their home including cleansers and laundry products, personal hygiene and even cosmetic products) So if you want you can download the free report without putting in any of your personal information:
http://wood.euleesway.com/toxicreport.html
Also, if you know anyone you think is using too many of these chemical (toxic) products or that has serious allergy problems please send this report to them, too.
This report was a real eye-opener and very beneficial for us. I hope it is for you and your family too.

Dust mites, hah!!! That's what they told me, too. And look where it landed me. In the looney bin.
Them dust mites don't give you no allergic rhinitis. Take it from me, Dr. Modaph. I love your sense of humor in saying that you are "running out" of options. How droll!

Why does it stress your hubby? Do you drip on him? Does your nose drip booger juice on his chest while you kiss him? I am trying to picture your dilemma, but am falling short of hubby stressing options.

For heaven's sakes, don't worry about your sinus problems. They probably don't indicate cancer or malignant polyps, or anything as horrid as concurrent hydrocephalus, or spinal stenosis, although this is a symptom of all of the above. Just don't stress about it at all. Take a stress relieving pill such as perhaps WAKE-UPS. They will relieve all your stresses, and perhaps wake up your sinuses to the wonders of NOT dripping constantly.

As for your husband, tell him to mind his own business, and to take a hike. It is your nose, and not his. He will pay dearly for his hatred of your snot. He will lose you in the bargain. I love the snot of my beloved. It is the best snot in the world. Tell him I love it. Tell him I would travel the world to let my beloved's snot fall on my chest, and then . . .
Tell him to suck on that!!!
