plez help me i have just got braces and they hert so bad what should i take for the pain and also they r cutting up my mouth i have wax to put on the spot that is cutting up my mouth but it doesn`t work so what should i use to stop them for cutting up my mouth?

The wires shouldn't be cutting your mouth. Go back to your ortho and have the wires adjusted/trimmed.

For the pain, rub some orajel on your gums, since that's where the actual pain is and take a Motrin. You'll get used to them as time goes by.

First, skip the wax. It never stays where you need it and you end up accidentally eating it.

Tylonol works pretty well for the pain. Ambisol on some of the really sore spots might help too.

I know it's painfull now, but it will get better after a few days. Once the sore spots heal up it isn't so bad.

I'd just say take a tylenol. Your mouth will be very sore for awhile. Your gums will get used to it. Just give it time.

in time, where it is cutting in should toughen up a bit and not cut in. you have to have patience. for the sores, i recommend amosan. it has been around for many years. you can find it at most drug stores. i know rite aid has it.

if the wax doesn't work..... try keeping a cloth in your mouth when sleeping, it worked for me.... try taking a couple advil.... GOOD LUCK!!!!!!
