I went to make Hamantaschen for a group of friends, since Purim starts tomorrow, but just realzed that my recipe calls for one pound of cut up cooked prunes. my grandmas recipe says no jams or jellys can be used as filling, but I was wondering if anyone new anything about using preserves for the filling?

I filled my hamantaschen with fig and ginger preserves.
Almost every recipe I found, said preserves.

Preserves are different. They have fruit in them. much different from Jams and Jellies.
