I agree with road dog
you must be at the bus stop and signal the driver you want
the bus
drivers do not have ESP a lot of people just use the bus bench
to rest
or the area could be serviced by more one transit line
and the driver will assume you are waiting for the other
bus
also you said you were in your car
parking or stopping in a bus zone is mostly likely
illegal in the first place..(you could get a ticket even you are in the car)plus
it also forces the driver to stop in the traffic lane
and in some cities bus drivers are prohibited from
picking up a passenger when they cant get to the curb
because of a car in the zone

Okay, to be really honest, I'm a bus driver for a major transit system and I wouldn't stop either if someone was in their car waiting no matter what the weather was. If you want to ride the bus "Be ready to ride" Stand at the stop when the bus approaches. If fact in many cities drivers are trained that in order to maintain often tight schedules, to pass by stops with people sitting on benches when passengers are not standing up "Ready" to board."

I see your problem. You were waiting in your car to escape the weather. THEN you got out, GOT to the edge of the road, and she (THEN) passes by. (Right?) Yeah, you have a good gripe,
it it reads this way. Go to the transit agency administrative base
with a full typewritten accounts of both incidents. Bring copies. Provide them copy of your account after you have personally read it to their customer service representative. Then demand to see that person's supervisor. That person gets a copy. Then, demand to see the supervisor of supervisor. Don't accept any apology. Tell them you want to know what remedial action will be taken and ask for the policy regarding same be copied for your review. Tell them you want a written statement regarding how they've handled your complaint and its determination. Tell them they have thirty days to provide you copies of all requested documentation or the attorney you'll hire in your behalf will determine what continued legal action best serves your own interests. Americans have their Freedom of Information Act
to help open the books. Canadians need to resolute.
