My buddy is coming over just to see an afternoon of golf on my HDTV. If this was NASCAR I'd be inclined to serve beer and pretzels. Should I go with something more sophisticated? Cut veggies and dip? What do golfers like to snack on?

OK Jojo, I love golf, but that was a great answer!

Back to the question... Beer is fine, but something like Sam Adams or Michelob, definately not Bud or Lite or some other watered down swill.

Pretzels are good, with some dip (honey mustard or the like).

Whatever you serve, make sure it's something that you and your guest will enjoy!

Anything they can consume while doing the ironing! It's not that enthralling so give them an iron, an ironing board and all your ironing for the week- every weekend. Works for us- my hubby has done the ironing for years now. Win,win situation- he watches all the golf he wants and I don't iron. Mornings I suggest coffee or tea (only go with champagne if you have no important business meetings for the week!) Afternoons, I go for a little white wine, perhaps some biscuits and dip- but not until he's finished with my linen suits. LOL. It works for us.

Serve the same thing you serve for NASCAR. He probably won't notice the difference. They're both boring.
