THIS PAST WEEKEND MY HUSBAND & I HAD SEX AND THE CONDOM BROKE. I JUST HAD A CHILD 4 MONTHS AGO AND JUST ENDED MY PERIOD A FEW DAYS BEFORE THIS HAPPENED. HOW LIKELY IS IT THAT I COULD END UP PREGNANT FROM THIS?
THANKS

As long as you are having your cycle again, you are able to become pregnant. Trust me...I know. I got pregnant 6 months after I had my first daughter. (My husband says its because we didn't have a TV in our room!) As far as the timing, you are most fertile within 10 days of the day that you started your period. So go back and count the number of days from when the condom broke to the first day of your period. Remember, though, you can still become pregnant even if it didn't happen during the aforementioned time line.

Don't worry, though. My girls are 6 and almost 5 now and it has been the best thing having them so close in age. I don't know if I could have done it any differently!

Well, if you think about it, the average cycle is 28 days, ending with your period, So if this happened just a few days after your period ended, then you probably would not have ovulated yet. That usually happens around the 15th day. Keep in mind, This is all approximate, and each person's cycle is different. You could be in the clear this, time, but I suggest using a backup method (foam, spermicide, etc.) from now on! :) Good Luck!

If you had fertile cervical fluid, the sperm could survive up to 5 days waiting for ovulation. It's possible to have fertile cervical fluid very early in the cycle.

If you are practicing ecological breastfeeding, your risk is greatly reduced. However, if you fertility has returned early or if you are bottlefeeding, your risk could be quite high.

The best way for you know know about your cycle is to chart your fertility signs. Your chart can tell you when you are fertile, when you are not, when you are ovulating, when to expect your next period, and when to suspect pregnancy.

Some good sources for charting your fertility signs: Fertilityfriend.com (free software as well as a pay-for version and on-line charting turorial); ovusoft.com (discussion boards for many fertility related issues, much info on fertility after the pill, and a very good software for purchase). The books Taking Charge of Your Fertility (associated w/ the the ovusoft website and software), The Art of Natural Family Planning, and Garden of Fertility

in the average menstrual cycle, ovulation occurs 14 days before the menstrual period arrives--or on day 14 of a 28-day cycle. So if you subtract 14 days from the length of your cycle, you'll get an idea of when you ovulate. If you go to parents.com they have a fertility calculator, you'd be able to figure out what your chances are. Good luck

50% chances are yes and 50% no..

Relax, check when did you have your last period ( the date) and count 14 days - it is the ovalulation time, if you had sex on this days than there are more changes or no changes..

Highly possible. The risk is reduced while nursing.
