True story:
My brother and his wife had a baby girl who was born with a lazy eye, and a man in their church walked up to them the first time they brought the baby to church and said "Well, that's a cross-eyed baby!!"

I do not know what Christians do, there are so many different kinds of Christians these days. But if you are even half a human being, you will congratulate your brother on the birth of his beautiful new baby and you will be a good uncle and love this child no matter what. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, who are you to judge, have you taken a gander at yourself in a mirror lately? Are you winning any prizes? Lighten up, this is a tiny child, save your sarcasm for truly ugly people, the ones with ugly hearts and minds.

Newborns usually look a little funny, it the birth was difficult, the baby's face may look something like a Picasso for awhile. Just leave it alone. There is no need to say anything.

As one answerer said, there is NOT a Christian way. Why would you want to criticize Gods handy work?

May I remind you of Psalm 139:

For You formed my inward parts; you covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!
If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; when I awake, I am still with You.

Don't say it -- Don't even think it. Few newborns look very good. You wouldn't either if you had just been thru what they've been thru!! You don't have to lie and tell him the kid is adorable, but just keep your mouth shut and congratulate him on a healthy baby, a real gift from God.

If it bothers you that he is spending all his time with his family and newborn and spending less time with you, just tell him and be honest that you miss him and would like to go out and do something fun with him.

You don't tell parents their baby is ugly. That would be mean-spirited of you and they would always remember that you were mean about it. You don't really want that.

Hmmm Why would anyone..Christian or not even want to tell their brother such a mean thing? I think if you love your brother, you love the baby thus the baby becomes gorgeous.

Surely the baby resembles you too if he is blood related! If I were you, I would look at your baby pictures and see who was the more handsome.

Tell your brother that the baby is definitely one of the family. :)

I would strongly suggest that in this situation (Christian or not) you keep your mouth shut. Telling your brother that his child is ugly is a sure fire way to end any type of good relationship you have with him.
