How do I choose?

Question

I really like my friend, let's call him carl. We've been friends for a long time. I like him and he likes me but I've been waiting for him for a long time. He isn't "allowed" to date until he's fifteen. I'm pretty tired of waiting around for him.
His best friend(lets call him tom) used to like me, and i'm pretty sure he still does, but he hasn't done anything since he knows carl likes me.
They're both cute, and I like both of them, just tom a little less than carl. I feel like I have to wait for carl, and I guess I just want to know that I have options, but I'm afraid that if I go after tom I could ruin something tangible that I might have with carl.
How do I choose what to do? Do I keep waiting for carl? or do i go after tom? I'm so confused. please help?!?

Your still young, why is this even a question. You don't have to be tied down to any of them. This isn't the old days or little house on the prarie, you don't have to marry early chicka!! Just go out and have fun and remember, looks fade, go with the one later in life that has an awesome personality, that is forever.
