I recently had an odd thought, I have ADD and am currently taking medication and am suspicious that may cause transgenderism? I started crossdressing soon after I started taking it, I also have another frined with ADD who is a crossdresser to some extent, however he lives in a primarily female houshold... Is it possible that the meds could cause sich things?

Your suspicion is incorrect. It has nothing to do with that.

Honestly I don't think the Medicine can cause you to cross dress! You have a mind of your own, and With ADD you are constantly moving, and doing something to keep yourself busy. The meds are there to keep you focused. If you find yourself cross dressing then I think it's your mind knowing that your friend does it to some extent, and you are/were curious. Talk to your Primary Care Physician... But seriously it's not the meds! I take meds, and I don't cross dress. GOOD LUCK!! Hope this helps!

Hi Taylor. You pose an interesting question. You may want to stop the medication (check with your doctor first) to 'test' this hypothesis.

Please note: ADD is NOT caused by a drug deficiency, so you may want to find a doc that will work with you to find the CAUSE of your condition. There is a rapidly growing body of scientific research on ADD and the role played by many potential contributing conditions such as:

1) vitamin/mineral deficiencies
2) essential fatty acid imbalances
3) intestinal dysbiosis
4) leaky gut syndrome
5) heavy metal toxicity ...

just to name a few. Be sure your doc is knowledgeable about these conditions and that he/she has tested you thoroughly before resorting to dangerous drugs which do NOT treat the CAUSE of ADD (all of these drugs now have "Blackbox warnings" from the FDA because of their risks for serious side effects).

I have taken ADD meds for 20+ years. I have not crossed dress or anything like that and I have been a few of them.
