What does it mean if...?

Okay here's the thing. Im not seeking perfect answers i just thought i would see what other people think about my situation.

ahem: last year i heard a rumor this guy liked me. over the summer i emailed him asking him about it. he never replied to that email. ever since this year began he hasnt come anywhere near me or spoken to me. When last year, it was completely different.

I have come to the conclusion that he is indeed purposely avoiding me. Someone told me it's because he does like me. But i dont want to jump to conclusions because thats stupid, especially with my kind of luck.

and FYI he asked someone else out, (and was rejected) earlier this year.

If you care enough to do so, i would love your opion on this.

First, you emailed him about it. How impersonal can you get? That's like emailing someone to break up with them. And you don't mention the contents of that email here, either, so it's hard to judge if there might have been something in it that he wouldn't like. Second, you didn't bother to try to follow up on your email in a more personal way during the summer. Third, you didn't bother to follow up first thing or at all once school began. Fourth (probably should have been second, though), why did you wait until summer to follow up on those rumours? Why didn't you do something before school had ended?

Yes, he's avoiding you. You act like you don't care after being the one to bring up the subject. Why wouldn't he avoid you?

You don't say how old you are, but younger 11-13 yr old guys can be shy. Sometimes they don't like girls to know that they like them, which seems strange since they want you to like them. He could fear rejection, or maybe he really doesn't like you. It's hard to tell. Older guys, 14-18, tend to like one girl one day and then like another the next. For them there's so many to choose from. If he's in this age group then you can count on the fact that he is shy, since most males get a bit of courage by now and have learned how to at least approach girls when they like them. You can always ask him out if you're interested. The worst he can do is say no. If you're afraid, just think, that's probably what he's feeling.

Just go talk to him about something and try to figure out if he likes you. After a while of talking you will know what is going on.

Play hard to get and try not to let this guy get to you... He sounds confused and hes not sure what he wants either.

Well it seems that he is just embarrased that you found out that he likes you. That is very common for guys to do. Well, just go up to him and start a conversation. GOOD LUCK!

stop worrying about him & move on ,if he wouldve been smart he wouldnt of ignored u , but he did so he isnt worth ur time .u deserve better then being ignored

and he used to like you
but was to scared to actually say it
so he avoided the situation
and tryed to move on without gettin embarassed
