My dad was known as Jake to all his friends and family. He was the kind of man that made you feel good and special and important just by walking into the room where he was. He was a salesman until he died 16 years ago. He was the only salesman I ever met who had his customers sending him gifts, instead of the other way around lol, that's how well-liked he was.
We used to get big huge boxes of oranges and crates of shrimp and crawfish; at Christmas he'd have to make two trips to get all the stuff his customers gave him as gifts.
His heart was so big and wonderful; I remember when his secretary got sick back in the early 70's. If you will remember, it was still a very racial time then, and my dad's secretary was black, my dad white. But he visited her every day, sat with her all night sometimes because she had no one else to watch over her. He ignored all the pointing fingers and wagging tongues because he loved his secretary and felt responsible for her since she was all alone in the world; he said he felt like her uncle.

My Dad's name is Richard and he is the best father anyone could ever ask for. He's worked super hard through a lot of crap just to make sure I that I have a better life than him. He is now working even harder trying to put me and my little bro through college.

my daddy has a shotgun "boom" hehe ^_^ cause his family from Alabama...and really overprotective psssst....the shotgun is suppossedly for guys who try to hit on me or harrass me teehee
