My son has had some health problems and the doctor tells us not to have him around large crowds because of germs this time of the year.. so my husband and I decided to make it a grandparent only party and of course his big brother .. well and hour before the party mom and dad inlaw called and said they were sick which I don't belive because I think it was because all 5 of my husbands brother and sisters plus 10 kids wern't invited! I had already cooked and everything.. anyone else think they did wrong or am I over reacting... I just worry about my childs health! Should I say sonething to them?
And my husband dont have the balls to say anything to his parents and they know about my sons health

I honestly go through the same thing. Except my child is not sick. My inlaws try to keep peace among everyone, and in the process the favor my two oldest kids. I wouldn't be to hard on them. Talk to your inlaws and let them know how it bothers you. Give them the chance to make it up. Maybe they will want to take your son for ice cream just him. so go easy on them.

if they say they were sick, give them the benefit of the doubt. if they are petty enough to not go because everyone was not invited and not understand that the child's health was at risk, then let them be that way, they are the ones who missed out on a big birthday and the child will not remember anyway.

Maybe they really were sick and they were trying to stay away from your child for health reasons. Ask them if they would like to come over when they feel better.
