I don't believe that God has physical human features. We were created in his image in that we can love and have free will. God is a spiritual being. The Bible is an amazing resource. It was written over a period of thousands of years by many different authors, yet still manages to convey a central theme throughout. This in itself is amazing especially when you think about how scientifically and historically accurate it's accounts are. I'm just saying that it's worth looking into before it is just brushed off.

Yeah, God isn't human. Email me and tell me what you mean by features? We can talk this out. He isn't human. However, he is the creator of the universe. Seriously, why would the Universe be made because of a huge explosion (explosions destroy things, idiots) and also, how do we come from monkeys? God doesn't need to have human features: he isn't human. He's...well...God. It's hard to explain.
I can't explain God. You can't describe him. And even if he doesn't have human features, he doesn't have to prove anything to a athiest jerk like you.
Besides, how do you know what God looks like. If you looked at him, you wouldn't live to tell the tale.
God doesn't have human features. Like everyone else said, we're made in his image. That doesn't mean he has human features. It means he made us in his own idea and design.
He doesn't need to prove anything to you. You're nothing without God.

Human "features?" Where did you get this information? The bible says that "man was made in God's image," and of course this doesn't mean physically, because God is a spirit. Man was made in God's image (characteristically) with the capacity to love, attain wisdom, and a measure of justice.

Do you mean attributes?
Features means physical appearance, I think that you mean attributes.
Interesting question...but it is a bit chicken and the eggyweggy...After all, if man made God in his image, then God would have the attributes of humanity, If man is made in God's image, then the same would apply...And if God is a cosmic entity, then it'd probably have to reveal itself to humans in some form we'd be able to comprehend...Or since a Human would be interpreting this cosmic revelation, that human would relate things to what he could understand, which is another human...
I'm sure Dogs have their own image of God, which probably appears very doglike...I think cats just think they are a god...

A painter often paints a person. God created us in His image, does not exactly have to do with features, it has more to do with our bodies, minds, and souls. For instance, God is Love, but we can only try to be loving; God is Truth, but we can only try to be truthful; God is Life, but we can only live for a while. It is true that God talks, walks, is said to have hands and so on, but these things may only manifest themselves physically in the form that we see; in God's case these forms must be expanded into the infinite, not in size or dimension, but in power, in concept, and in function. We can think, but God knows it all already; He is all-wise too. Nothing is hidden from Him, not even the past or our deepest thoughts. We can be only at one place at one time, but God is already everywhere all the time. We are a finite imitation of the infinite.
By the way, I wonder sometimes why people say that we make up God. If I made up a god, they would be like a genie that hangs around you all day granting wishes or something. I doubt that I would ever make one up with a bunch of rules and laws that I have to follow, etc. If I made up a god, he would be just like your god, in a way. They would be the god of self, the beginning and the end of all moral judgements. Which is kind of a bummer since I can't grant my own wishes. If you can grant your own wishes, fine, but, if so, your god is too tiny.
Now that I know the one and only True God, I chose Him. I am a pretty picky person too, it is not like I am going to chose any God. I chose Him because He is the very Best God anyone could ever have! I love my God, but not nearly as much as He loves me!

I think you asked it wrong. It should be more like why do humans have Godly features. It is because we were made in his image.

You've seen God? You've talked to him?
It's interesting how people like you complain when people attack atheists, and then ignorant as you are, you do the same thing right back. Either don't complain, and if you must, don't turn the other cheek and do the same thing right back.
"...treat others as you would want them to treat you..." - prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him)
btw, God doesn't have "Features". he is undescribable
