Don't worry about it. I have 10 cats and lots of scratches all the time. Cats are like that. Some times they are just playing and some times they get in those moods. It would be highly unlikely that you will have any problems from the scratch. If the cat does it again when it is not playing, you could spray alittle water from a spray bottle on him. Cats normally don't like water. Do not hit your cat.

Put some disinfectant on the scratch, Hydrogen peroxide is good too for it will clean the scratch. Unless its a kitten and accidentally scratched in play which can happen with grown cats too for they do not understand the sensitive nature of skin.Hopefully you were not teasing the cat. When I play with my grown cat(s) who has vey sharp claws and she's also very fast I put a thick sock(athletic) over my hand almost up to elbow for with the sock on I can enjoy playing with my cat and am safe from scratches.

Why did it scratch you? Is your question about how to treat the scratch or why did kitty scratch you? Treat a scratch like any other scratch or find out why the cat scratched. Be specific.

put a bandade on it and some pertruliom jelly but first wash with peroxide . that should hea.l it . cat scratches take for ever to heal. My cat scratches me when she boom booms which is when rocky thknks its funny to get on my belly and knead it with her pokey claws. I started puting a thick blanket on me when she does that and she drools alot. The cat could have been spooked when he or she scratched you

Basic first aid if the scratch isnt that bad. Just wash it w/ soap and water and put a bandaide on it. You will be fine in no time.

Put some neosporin on it, or one of those bandaids with medicine in it, or if you don't have either of those just soap and water will do fine until you can go to the grocery store tomorrow and get those. You should always have those handy in case that happens again because those can become infected pretty easily.
