I hear its completely basless. Even total non-believers think it is nothing more than a publicity stunt.

The film claims to have found the burial place of Jesus and his family (including his son!)

What do you think of it?

It hasn't aired yet... I'll be able to see the evidence and methods at that time.

Isn't it inappropriate to judge before it's been aired?

Over the last 20 year there has been 17 claims of finding the tomb of Jesus. So really it is very baseless. The docu that you refer to talks about proving it with the DNA of Jesus. Well tell me how in the world that works. How do you get Jesus' DNA if he is in Heaven. I think it's just a publicity thing. People shouldn't be worried about that... they should be focused on having a relationship with the one that was buried in the tomb that they claim to have found.

1) This was discovered by a Hollywood director, so it obviously a publicity stunt.

2) Jesus, Mary etc, were common names back then. So chances are it would be another Jesus (not Jesus Christ).

3) Archaeologist believe it is false.

It is even more unbelievable than the DaVinci Code. I have read reviews by those who have read the book the documentary is based on. I can give you two sights that thoroughly eviscerate it.

Verily thy Lord will judge between them on the Day of Judgment, in the matters wherein they differ (among themselves)
Qur'an (32:25)

The Jews say: "The Christians have naught (to stand) upon; and the Christians say: "The Jews have naught (To stand) upon." Yet they (Profess to) study the (same) Book. Like unto their word is what those say who know not; but Allah will judge between them in their quarrel on the Day of Judgment.
