Go to Leerburg.com This trainer, Ed Frawley, has a ton of experience with protection/shutzhund dogs. He also has a very good obedience program. I've trained my German Shepherd under his basic obedience program, and it is bulletproof. I can keep my dog in a down-stay, and he won't get up under heavy distraction. He also has various DVDs/articles on schutzhund/personal protection dogs. Trust me, you won't be disappointed with his site. It is the site that you're looking for that will get you in the right track.

Look in your local (or largest city near you)phonebooks and contact any obedience training club or the local German shephard dog club or Doberman pincher dog club.Any AKC sanctioned club of these breeds or in obedience will be able to refer you to a Schutzhund training club. The decoys are usually the more experienced handlers( members) of the clubs.Shutzhund training involves far more than just protection work;it also requires Tracking training and advanced obedience training including the obstacle coarse.Good luck!
