Go back and actually read the papers they had you sign and gave you a copy of when they took your license. It will say what you have to do. Probably something on the order of pay fines, go without for a period of time, get SR 22 filing to prove you have insurance in place, that type of thing. Do what it says, and once you have all that done, take your forms and receipts and request a hearing in whatever agency your state or country uses for that type of hearing.

State rules and regulations vary. Usually you have to take care of any fines or reasons why your license was suspended. Pay fines, prove insurance etc. Most states charge a restoration fee, which also needs to be paid before you can restore your license. Check with your state DMV to see what their rules are. If your license expired during the suspension, you may have to retake some tests before they will restore it.

You may appeal a driver license suspension, revocation, or denial in the circuit court of the county where you live within 30 days after the notice of suspension, revocation, or denial is issued.

You contact the DMV for your state, ask the agent the same question, they will tell you what steps are needed. You normally have to pay off all fines, receive receipts from the courts, provide SR22 insurance. It all depends on why you were suspended to begin with.
