Get something that represents an influence in your life. Something that you know you will never forget and that helped you learn. Dont just get some chinese symbols or a picture of a fish... you'll regret that later.

Oh, but there are many reasons for being very original!!
What types of flowers do you enjoy?
Maybe a fairy or butterfly to go with it?
Run searches on the Internet and find out specific names of flowers and look up different styles of tattoos.
Would you like a rose in a tribal style? Victorian?

The more you know in advance, the more information the artist can work with. You can go in the parlor with pictures you've printed at home because you aren't publishing them. The artist can tell you if he can't render a certain image because of copyright or trademark issues.

Plot the location carefully, too. You want it to look like art and not someone just pinning a picture on your body. If you wear a lot of tank tops, you can arrange a tattoo on your shoulder that plays peek-a-boo with your shirt. Think carefully on this location for future references, too. Employers could force you cover a tattoo even if it is simple, and you could be forced to wear long sleeves in August, or cover it with an ace wrap while at work. I've seen that happen to a man who had angels done on his forearms to represent two dead grandchildren, and he was forced to cover them with long sleeves.

A first tattoo shouldn't be over a bony area- ankles wrists, etc. These areas the most painful because of the nerves so close to skin level, and sandwiched against the bones.

*ANY* image can be made into a tattoo, including original drawings. Most tattoo places have 'flash art' which is pre-printed and ready to go; you can use one of these directly or as a base for your own modified image. You can also bring in drawings or other graphics, or have the artist create something new from a description.

Just one caution: Tattoos are forever. Make sure of what you want, and don't start the actual work unless you're completely satisfied with the model image. 'Ink regret' really sucks.

A tattoo is a very personal thing I have several, each one tells a storey, from death of a friend to a pleasent part of my life!!! depend on where on your body you want a tattoo(Size, color),but visit several tattoo parlors ,they are done all by different artists, then you will be exposded to several !!!!Do not get overwhelmed, take your time,as a tatoo is a life time marking,do not feel pressed into this ,after a while you will know and decide what is right for you !!!!! Choice wisely & good luck !!!!! Be different(do not get a rose they are so common!!! DAISEY,SUNFLOWER ??????? IF this is your first tattoo go small and chice a part of your body y=that you do not mind showing, tattoos to me are to be taken with pride!!!!!

The local shop where you will get your tattoo has tons of flash of some very pretty designs of flowers, they can change the colors and work with you to make it more original. If you want, search online for differant types of flower pictures and see what you can find.

Something with meaning huh? Well how can a load of strangers give you ideas that are meaningful to you? Only you can decide what is meaningful, to some people their butterfly tattoos are deeply meaningful, it's just not your taste, that's all. Sorry but this is something you have to research and decide for yourself.

www.tattoofinder.com
or do research on flowers and find meaning behind it or go to tattoo studios is if you can find one that fits you best. You can look at flashs online but they will charge after like 700 pics. Best of luck to you.

No kidding. This coming from somebody with the name "Lucky13". How very original. I get it, its ironic, since the number 13 is considered unlucky, but you flipped it and attached the word "lucky" to it. Quite the paradox, I've never heard it, obviously your mind works on a much higher level than the simpletons in general society. Marvelous! In answer to your question, use yahoo images, type in what you are looking for, and scan the resulting pictures. That should get you some ideas.

If you know someone who can draw have them draw it. That way it is original and it is special. You are going to have it for a long time. Make sure it means something to you
