Well you have to understand what Nietzsche means by sick music and he meant music that emphasizes feeble, life denying ideas.
As a point of contrast take Greek tragedy. Nietzsche would call this entertainment for the strong because even after the most awful, unthinkable thing has happened (you killed your father and married your mother) one leaves a Greek tragedy feeling uplifted with the feeling that life is worth living no matter what awful things happen.
Sick entertainment, by contrast does the opposite. It dwells on sin, misery and human weakness and the audience leaves tired of life itself.
The reason Nietzsche said "only sick music makes money today" is because Europe had been rendered hopelessly sick itself (mostly due to alcohol and Christianity) and therefore has no stomach for strong, life-affirming entertainment.
It's a little harder to say now about whether this would still hold true today because of the wide variety of musical genres available. Back then people perhaps had less choice and you probably listened to music more from your own country than other places so that if your homeland were in a funk, you would almost have to share in it.
I suppose these days it would depend on what the individual chooses to listen to and whether their choices exalt them or grind them down, make them want to live or die.

Thats a false analogy. You cant say "only" sick music. I can turn on the radio or go online and find anything but "sick" music, and lots of artists make very nice paychecks, but not all are on shows to promote them like mtv cribs...... Im not saying it doesnt make a good portion of money, but what this person might have actually wrote about was feelings toward a certain type of music, not a fact about music. Just the title alone suggests that this author made a label for a group of people and used that group to write about.......
