Not all girls do. That's like saying why do all guys like the thrill of the chase. See what I mean. ALL isn't the right word. But I would say that alot of women play hard to get because of traditional gender roles. U see women were and still are to an extent expected to allow the guy to make the first move. Since he had all of the power to make the first move women empowered themselves by making the guy work to prove that he was right for her. I don't know why women do it today because supposedly we all want equality. Why would they continue to do that when they are encouraged to make the first move just like men do? They are still possessed by gender roles even though they say they want equality.

Theres plenty of reasons girls play hard to get. I played it for about 7 months with out realizing. Im with my boyfriend now and hes just not the type of guy that just wants to be with me just because. Well, when I played hard to get I wanted to see how long he would last and wait in a way and try to get with me to see if he honestly wanted to be with me. Everytime he would be like hey everyones going to the movies do you want to go? I know I would, But I would say no its ok. And many other things I did with out realizing. Sometimes its more rewarding for they guy or it makes a girl feel better about herself to see how hard the guy will play.

Well, we see how a guy treats his car when he has to work hard for it, maybe it's the same concept. If a guy has to work to get a girl, maybe he'll take care of her. That's what girls want, the security of a real man that will respect her and honor her and take care of her for the rest of her life.
