i would just ask someone else if they have a pen that person could borrow and then get my pen back. lol. you're helping you and them, but not leaving them out in the cold.

Borrow from someone else, don't leave the person you first loaned your pen to without, it would just cause that much more confusion during the lesson.

Always take at least 3 pens to an exam. You'll have an extra if you run out of ink and one left over to lend.

I'd probably ask it back; after all *they* were the one coming to class without a pen, why should *I* be caught without while I took not one but two pens along? Would you lend your pen to someone if you only had one? Being polite doesn't mean allowing others to walk all over you, whether on purpose or inadvertently.

It depends on the pen. If it is an expensive pen, then ask for it back. If it is cheap pen - 10 for a $l. Just forget it.

Excellant question. Sounds like you were completely prepared for class. I would ask your teacher for a spare and also explain to that teacher why you need another pen. I think your teacher would appreciate you being so kind to a fellow student. This teacher would also most likely have a spare or access to a area with a spare.

You could ask for your pen back or go to the local bank, lots of times they'll give you a bunch of pens free, or any local business some of them give you free pens. Or buy pens in bulk to have plenty in your purse back pack locker ect.
