There could be not evil except for the goodness of God. Anything less than God is evil.

No, because Satan was an Angel at first, and when God made more Angels, Satan got jealous and turned evil. Nevertheless, Satan was created by God to put people through tests. Should a person do a good deed, or deviate and follow Satan's evil plan? If Satan did not exist, everyone would go to Heaven, and there would be no point to that. Satan is merely a tool, or a factor to balance good and evil so that people can realize that going to Heaven is not free. I hope this helped.

God did not "make" satan do anything. Satan did what he did all on his own. Because Satan tried to take over the throne reserved for the Christ, there was a great war. About a third of our people (yes we were all there) rebelled and followed satan, then there was a great number of people who stayed neutral, they didn't really care as long as it didn't affect them (whats new under the sun, huh?) and then there was a group who stayed faithfully on Gods side, never faltering - when satan was defeated, God named this group HIs Election, and even judged them right there and then. Now as far as the one-third go, God could have just destroyed them, but what does it take to kill one of your own? that you love? So instead, God destroyed the earth age that was, and brought in this earth age that we live in now. When you read in Genesis 1, you are reading about the refurbishing of the earth after the war, to make it inhabitable for flesh life; it was not the first creation of the earth. The earth is eons old, according to the Bible.
This flesh age is God being totally fair; every soul comes thru this age one time to make an ultimate choice of who they would follow.
Yes, God created Satan. Yes, God is in control of everything (except He will not interfere with your free will),
Are you perfect? what have you done wrong in your lifetime? You have the freedom of your will to do as you choose; so if you choose to do wrong, does that make God evil? Why is it fair to blame God for something you do? Why is it fair to blame God for something satan has done?
Your question/statement is pompus at best.

Satan was once an angel created by God but he wanted more and be just like God. So he became a fallen angel with angels following him who we know as demons. He was thrown out of God's kingdom and is evil no more no less. God is all good.
Humanly speaking, if I'm a good person and have a child who turns out to be a horrible human being, does that make me a bad person as well?

Some people on this site have said: "God does as he pleases" and "Everything that happens is God's will". This implies that God at least has an understanding of evil(I suppose that would come with the omniscience, too) and would have the capacity for evil(omnipotence?). So from this standpoint it would appear that God has at least some evil in him. Those same people might counter that God's will is always good either because that is the nature of God or because we lack the perspective to see the good.

God did not create satan to be evil. Satan was an Archangel who was cast out of heaven cause he led a revolt of the angels against god. When he fell from heaven he took 1/3 of the angels(known as the fallen angels or demons) with him. God does know everything that will happen but gives us free will to do whats right or whats wrong.

Satan tried to usurp God's throne with a hostile takeover, and since satan rebelled against God , he and a third of his angels were banished from heaven. God created Lucifer as an angel with free will. Satan chose disobedience and rebellion toward God. God doesnt put up with that. Therefore satan bears the consequences of his actions. The Bible is very clear about this. All you have to do is read it.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

Why this infatuation about God by unbelievers? If you don't want to believe, then fine! But we all know the real reason behind your zeal. You know the reason too. You're not fooling anyone.1. If you admit there's a God,then you are accountable to Him, and that scares the daylights out of you, or, 2.You are not as convinced that God doesn't exist as you claim, and you need to harass those who do so you can sleep at night.Be honest.3. If it weren't for the ugly folks, how would you know which ones are pretty?

It is said the god is the creator, thus he created everything, including evil. He is supposed to the know the future, so he knew that when he created Lucifer, that Lucifer would become Satan. He had the choice not to create him and preventing evil from existing. But he didn't. So god is corrupt.
