OK. Since i'm a girl I should know about these things so I'm going to try to help you. Having a crush is very nerve-wracking when it comes to talking to them. All girls are different so you might want to try different approaches. First, work on saying Hi. It might sound easy, but it's not. If you have a friend thats a girl you could try practicing with her or getting advice from her. Also, if you're in the same class in a period of time you should try to start conversations in class about homework, tests, etc. If you are in the same math class, for example, and she is having trouble with math, but you understand it, you could ask her if she wants you to help her and you two could maybe meet in the library or something. Or maybe you could ask to try to figure it out with her.... ask her on a study date is what i'm trying to say!
Also, if you do get her as a girlfriend, here are a few tips:
1] Most girls love chocolates and sweets, but don't overwhelm her with them!
2] Most girls do not like to rush into relationships. SOme girls do, though, so, try to notice if she is the kind of girls who do.
3] Girls love to talk so, instead of you talking, just listen! But remember, if she asks you something, try to converse!
Good luck!

ok first off. Dont act dorkie. and talk about really dorkie stuff. You should really find something that she likes. some how find out something she likes. Maybe ask her what she's interested in doing or what she likes doing. Then see if you have the same interest. If you do then Great. If not then try again. Dont ask too many questions because you dont her thinking your a stalker, or anything But be calm and normal about it. See what types of movies she likes, music, sports? Tell her you think she is cute, or pretty. Dont force it on her but ill make a conversation.
you >> how was your weekend?
her >> good, Yours?
you >> good i did ... what did you do?
her >> i did my nails, and watched some movies.
There is an example its quite simple!
Hope this helps

Wow, when I think back on all the times in school I was in your situation and never did anything about it, I just want to kick myself. But then I realize that what I really wish is to be back in that time with what I know now.
That probably wasn't much help, except for this one small thing: Just do it. Maybe you'll look stupid, maybe she'll do or say something really mean, I don't know. But she is probably not the person you're going to spend the rest of your life with anyway (statistical probability of a bit less than zero), so just start building a hardened skin. If you just grit your teeth and do it, damn the consequences, you might be pleasantly surprised. Good luck.

Introduce yourself, find common ground by asking her how was her weekend or if she has plans for the weekend or what do you like to do in your spare time then offer to do it with her.
Notice something about her. Comment.
Does she carry a laptop or a cell phone or something. The whole idea is to get her started talking. Once the conversation starts, PARTICIPATE!
Enjoy!

oh man that's a great question.
I just recently started having the same situation with a girl in one of my classes and it might seem a little too obvious if i just went up to her and started talking to her because i haven't said a word to her in my first semester of school.
so i've been looking for opportunities to drop a remark or compliment on her.
like when she asks for a pencil or does something, add your opinion and stuff (something nice and funny), so you won't seem like a totaly stranger.
and slowly start asking her questions like "hey what'd you get on that last test?" etc.
however, if you don't know anything about her, then it's probably not a good idea. you might want to get to know her first so you'll know she isn't a total b it ch.

You say she's smart, so before school or something ask her to help you with homework. Then you can spend more time with her and get to know her. And, if you end up not likeing her, you'll just stop seeing her when you're done being tutored.

You could sent her a note saying you like her and dose see want to go out with you include you name and a very cool picture of you. If you don't want to sent her a note then practice what you are going to say to her before you say it and say it with no fear and don't be mean be to her. If you love her then say wait for the 4th or 6th date and say you love her. but if you want to talk to her wait until she's alone then go up to her and say you want to talk to her.

say hi so her at first. do this everyday when you see her. even though she doesnt mind you. when you get a chance to talk to her and i mean really talk to her, ask her about her likes and dislikes, etc. when you're done you could ask her if you could meet up again next time. go with the flow of your conversation. you'll get through it.

unfortunately going up to the girl and saying hi whats up is the only good way to start talking to her. you don't wanna open w/ some cheesy line and have her blow u off!just be casual w/ her at first get to know her and things will flow from there on.
