head lice may be spread through close personal contact, shared personal items (combs, brushes, hats, helmets, clothing, or earphones), or shared bedding, and Body lice are most often spread by contact with personal items, especially clothing and hats. They are occasionally spread by direct personal contact. these are basically the only type of lice you can contract from another person.

Lice....little mites that lay eggs on the hair shafts called nits. They are almost impossible to get out without a really strong chemical treatment of Lice Shampoo and a Lice comb (yes they have special combs you have to use). You can pick up lice from airplane seats, movie theater seats, other peoples hairbrushes, and any surface that someones infected head may have touched.

personal contact, usually between kids at school leaning together reading a book or stuff like that. although there are chemical treatments from the chemist, the best method is to was your hair, then use tea-tree oil conditioner - lots of it, then comb the nits out with a metal (not plastic) nit comb, it looks like a dogs flea comb, you must wash bedding and towels etc as well. comb the whole hair from the scalp, paying extra special attention to behind the ears and nape of the neck, they love thos two places best. then repeat again in a couple of days to make sure you break their cycle. nit is this name of the egg (small shiny dot) lice will breed fast so get to work

They are transferred from someone who has lice. Using the same brush from someone with lice, will transfr them to your head. They then lay eggs and multiply!!
