does anyone have an idea on approx how long after a dog gives birth will she go into heat again??? My Sheltie had puppies at the very end of Dec and I'm trying to keep an eye on her to see when to expect her next heat. thx

It depends on your dog, they can sometimes go back into heat as soon as they stop nursing their pups, in some rare cases, but usually dogs have two heats a year
