My hair looks ok, but I want to go a little darker. I dyed it (myself) to a light brown yesterday afternoon - before it was a mixture of blonde and brown from a previous highlighting job a few months ago. Will going darker so soon damage my hair? I don't want it to start falling out. Has anyone dyed their hair, didn't like it, and dyed it again right away? Thanks!

you should be ok to do it. but I would stick with a semi-permanent. another thing to take note of is that when products boast that they are "ammonia free" it does not mean that they are damage free. ammonia free products use chemicals in place of ammonia called alkanolamines. they can be just as damaging as ammonia. do not use colors that contain metals in them either.

...I have colored my hair multiple times in a matter of days...and No initially it didn't seem like a big deal ... just make sure you condition it that same night and use a good quality conditioner very often afterward... I wouldn't do that today to my hair today though because I wish to keep strong, healthy hair...No it's not going to just fall out your head the next day but the integrity of your hair shaft is but so strong and over time multiple damaging effects add up...what you do to it today effects how frizzy, dry, splity end and dull it will be tomorrow...

Yes, you can color you hair again, right away. Use alot of
conditioner always since you color your hair. I color mine, I
straighen it and I have never had any problems. I have my own
method to straighen my hair, and it realy works. Hope I was
helpful. I have been coloring my own hair since I was a
teenager and I am in my 40's now, and no bald spot or anything
else.
