Wow. I'm really interested to know this too...I have to have my gallbladder removed, and I've never had any other surgeries. Also, I'm a full-time student and I want to be able to get back to my studies a.s.a.p.
From some the research I've done, on gallbladder surgery that is, it depends on what kind of surgery they do. They have regular cut-open surgery and another kind, laproscopic? think I spelled that right... which is much better cause they only make small incisions and have the surgical apparatus's do the rest.
Someone told me the laproscopic surgery can be done in out-patient and you go home the same day with only a few days recovery. I think with conventional surgery they keep you atleast a day in hospital and its definately alittle longer on recovery.
Can't say how it be for your shoulder surgery though.
You might wanna look up gallbladder surgery online. You might be able to google some more info on it, or you can just call your doctor/surgeon and ask him. He'd probably have a better idea considering all the other factors that go into recovery time for people.
Good Luck! Feel Better soon!

I had my gall bladder removed a few years back and the new way where they just make a few small incisions it does not take long at all until you are back to normal. I had mine done as a out patient and went home the same day. I was a little sore laying down and getting up but other wise felt fairly comfortable right after surgery. Very little recovery time at all. I resumed my regular schedule the day after surgery. Hope yours goes as well.

There are supplements u can take both before and after surgery to speed healing:
www.makemeheal.com
Check with your dr first to be sure, I'm sure its good, but check with dr just to be 100%.
I think u have to take them for 2 weeks prior to surgery then a few weeks after too...
They are good for u...

There's no specific timing on how long you'll be fully healed cause it depends on your immunisation and resistance level of your body. Just make sure you follow all the medicinal inscriptions closely in order for your body to receive the right dosage of recovery support in order for you to heal better and faster...Wishing You a Speedy Recovery!!!

Tough... Really depends on age, health status, mind set... any complications regarding surgery? Could be few days... to months.
