Gelatin is obtained from the marrow of a pigs bones by boiling it out.
The finished product is so far removed from resembling anything pig related that Rabbis have deemed it to be kosher.

Generally beef and veal made from bones cartilage tendons and stuff but alot of the gelatin today is a by product of pig skin.

no, but theres differant animal products in it..gelatin...which is basically fat anyhow and its a protien. I'm not positive, but i dont eat jello much anymore..
