Not especially. I can't understand why that is. It will not be a good day in North America when they are the majority. If you think Christians are bad, just wait.

It depends on what you mean by fastest growing. Islam's growth is due to a higher than average birth rate, not through conversions. Between 1990 and 2000, Islam received around 865,558 converts each year. During those same years there were 2,883,011 converts to Christianity each year, 3 times the rate for Islam. In terms of absolute numbers the fastest growing group is non-religious, going from 8.4% of the population in 1990 to 14.1% of the population in 2001.

It's not all that true. It's based on a late 1990's Encyclopedia Britanica entry.
In view of all the people dying in Islam today, that modifies what is said about Islam.
Also even hard core Muslims are skeptical about conversions to the NATION OF ISLAM, which is a part of the Britanica view.
That NATION OF ISLAM is Farrikhan and the Blacks.
That's not the same as the Sunni and Shi'ites of Syria and Iran.
It's like comparing the growth of Christianity including Mormons, Christian Scientists, Apostolics, Seventh Day Adventists. all the New Agers.
The NATION OF ISLAM is a NEW AGER religion that many ORTHODOX MUSLIMS don't totally view as being MAINSTREAM.
BUT they do accept it when it serves their purposes for rhetoric!

No, its just doubtful propaganda. The US media has turned Islam into the enemy. So they say this stuff to sell papers and get you to watch the news. I'd have to say Wicca is a much bigger threat to Christianity than Islam given that its almost growing at an exponential rate.
But the US loves to have their enemies, and with 9/11, much of the population has decided that the Muslims are the current fad for hatred.

FACTS!!!
Muslims counties have little or no teen age pregnancy's.
Muslims don't drink so they don't have hit and run because of drunk drivers
Muslims don't pretend to be some thing they are not
Drugs are no problem in any Muslim countries
STD, AIDS,HIV little or non existent in Muslim countries.
Sense of unity unlike todays Christan's.
Muslims don't bad mouth Jesus unlike Christians
More people are turning towards this religion then ever (cant be all wrong)
Children are nicer to parents and not put them in nursing homes ( where you'll end up no doubt)
MTV and other inappropriate shows are not allowed for kids. ( then you wonder why your kids disobey you)
and if you are stupid enough to believe every thing you hear on tv and radio well then Christan or Muslim you are a bigger Moran then I first thought.

There is always a group of people looking to be different from the norm and be persecuted. This is the new Goth. It will pass. But it is not terribly good news. Maybe someone should tell them they can't drink.

Well, the best way to know the answer is to imagine the entire world living under the auspices of the Taliban or other Muslim sect.
We will see our civilization disappear and will move back to the 7th century.
