I've just come out of a desperately terrible relationship, and suddenly this guy I hardly know asked me out! I've actually known him since kindergarten, but we're not really friends. He's nice, and he's funny, he's not completely ugly either, but I never even considered him untill now. I have a feeling that he's just playing tricks with my mind, since he asked me out on AIM, but I'm still a little confused. Does it seem like he really means the "asking me out" thing, or is it just a practical joke? Will this be just as bad as last time? Should I say yes?

Well why do you first think about it because like you said he could be playing with your mind but don't b mean either try to give him a chance because maybe he has secretly liked you but was waiting for you to break up with your other boyfriend. Hope you make the right choice!!

well he could just be a nervous individual when it comes to asking a chick out so he used the IM so he isnt having to actually see you in the event you reject him. but in my opinion, as a guy ,if you really like a chick, you dont ask her out through email text or IM or even a phone call, you would do it face to face.
